Kilmartin Museum is situated in the heart of Mid Argyll. Ideal for exploring Argyll's extensive historical and natural heritage and is within easy reach of the Moine Mhor and Taynish National Nature Reserves, the Crinan Canal and also Inveraray Castle.

  • 10:00am to 5:30pm every day from 1st March to 31st October
  • 11:00am to 4:00pm every day from 1st November to 23rd December
  • Closed from Christmas until 1st March

By car on the A816, about 2 hrs drive from Glasgow (96 miles), 1hr from Oban (30 miles) or 10 minutes (8 miles) from Lochgilphead.

Bus links from Glasgow and Oban to Lochgilphead and Kilmartin.

Trains are available to Oban and Glasgow, but not to Kilmartin.

Ferry ports to further explore the west coast and the isles can be found at Tarbert, Tayinloan, Kennacraig and Oban.
