Education & Events
As well as the museum exhibition there are lots of other learning opportunities for all ages.
Not only do our Education Team work with schools and community groups, but they also run courses, host events locally at different times and dates and we publicise the museum at shows and events too. Could you help us with our mission?
Volunteer activities include setting up activities & resources, assisting staff, helping at workshops, sharing information, stewarding events, to name just a few of the ways you can help. Your enthusiasm, communication skills and the ability to work as a team are essential. We can provide training and support for anything else!
If you prefer to work behind the scenes, and you have practical skills, then helping us maintain our selection of loan and resource boxes that we loan out might be ideal for you. We need helpers to replace and repair our selection of costumes, replicas and resources (which could be done at home or at the museum). Support, training and equipment would be provided.
