Please donate to Kilmartin Museum

Play your part in helping us tell Scotland’s ancient stories and join us on a lifetime of discovery.

Kilmartin Glen is one of the world’s most significant archaeological sites. There are thousands of years of history and natural history to explore in this beautiful landscape.

For over 20 years, Kilmartin Museum has been discovering, caring for and sharing the stories of artefacts from this special place. We are delighted with our spectacular new Museum and the facilities it gives us.

We now have a bespoke home for Argyll’s unique and special artefacts – those currently in our care and yet to be found; we have a state-of-the-art exhibition with interactive displays that inspire and tell the story of the people and landscape of Kilmartin Glen and beyond; we have a purpose-built Learning Centre and laboratories to invite learners of all ages to the Museum for projects, courses, seminars and fieldwork; we have spaces for artwork and rooms that the community can hire and use.

As a charity, we rely on three income streams to fund the Museum’s aims and objectives:

  • Grants and private donations

  • Self-generated income (ticket and shop sales)

  • Service Level Agreements (where we agree to interpret, educate and  care for collections on behalf of another organisation)

Every donation, no matter how small, makes a big difference.

We accept one-off donations or can offer a Friends membership scheme for those who wish to continuously support our work.

Additionally, donor plaques are still available to purchase. Our donor wall is situated in the Museum foyer. Although we have reached our total capacity for the smaller plaques, some are still available in the £1,000-£10,000 price range. Please get in touch with us for details.

Donations can be made via PayPal below. If you are visiting the Museum we can take a card or cash donation.
